wir sind ein pensionierter Paar (65 Jahre) und freuen uns auf langen Radtouren
Im vergangenen Jahr machten wir eine Fahrradreise für neun Wochen im Thailand, Laos und Kambodscha
In diesem Jahr wollen wir sieben Wochen durch Vietnam reisen - wir kommen an in Saigon am 9 Februar
Nach eine Woche in Saigon fahren wir zur Küste nach Phan Thiet, dann folgen Na Trang (einige Tage Strand) und dann weiter nördlich (Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An..) möglicherweise ein Teil mit Bus oder Zug.
Wir sind nicht verpflichtet an eine geplanten Route, Reservierungen oder einem vorgegebenen Programm.. wir lieben Freiheit...

zum Zeitpunkt der Reservation unserer Flugtickets (aug 2014) hatte ich keine Aufmerksamkeit für das Tet-Festival - ich dachte, daß Tet ende Januar stattfinden wird
In vielen Reiseberichte, Reiseführer und auf verschiedenen Foren im Internet lese ich besonders alarmierende Geschichten: kein Bus oder Zug, Hotels verschlossen (wir reservieren nur selten eine Nacht im Voraus), kaum Geschäfte und Restaurants offen ...

Unser anfänglicher Plan in seinen Grundzügen während Tet
Abfahrt Saigon: 15/2
Ankunft Phan Thiet: 17/2
Abfahrt Phan Thiet in Richtung Nha Tran: 22/2

Meine Fragen an die Experten:
Ist dieses möglich? Ich weiß, es wird weniger Verkehr (weniger Risiko) aber ich bin besorgt ob wir immer einen Platz zum schlafen finden.
Ist Phan Thiet ein guter Ort zum verbringen das Tet-fest? (Mui Né ?..)
Sollten wir von unseren Gewohnheiten abweichen und ist es besser, ein Gästehaus für die volle Woche der TetFest in der Nähe von Phan Thiet zu buchen? Was ist besser 15/2 > 22/2 oder 17/2 > 24/2
